How We Protect Your Purchase

Damage Protection

If your vanity arrives damaged during shipping, we'll replace it or issue a full refund. No restocking fees. No runaround.

24-Hour Claim Window

Report damage within 24 hours of delivery with photos. We review within 2–3 business days and resolve promptly.

Secure Payment

All payments processed through Stripe — PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant. Your card data never touches our servers.

Final Sale Policy

All sales on Modern Vanity are final. We do not accept returns for change of mind, colour preference, or incorrect sizing. The only exception is for items damaged during shipping (see Damage Claims below).

Bathroom vanities are large, heavy items that are expensive to ship and handle. Due to the nature of the product — including custom colour selections, the cost of logistics, and sanitary/installation considerations — we are unable to accept returns once an order has been delivered or picked up.

This policy allows us to offer competitive pricing — up to 50% less than big box stores. Before ordering, we strongly encourage you to:

Damage Claims — How to Get a Replacement or Refund

We take great care in packaging and delivering your vanity. In the rare event that your item arrives damaged during shipping, we will replace it or issue a full refund to your original payment method. Here's the process:

Inspect & Document on Delivery

Before signing or accepting delivery, inspect the full vanity — packaging, cabinet, countertop, sink, mirror. Take clear photos of any damage from multiple angles. This documentation is required for your claim.

Refuse Delivery if Significantly Damaged

If the damage is significant (cracked countertop, broken cabinet, shattered mirror), refuse delivery. Tell the driver the item is damaged and you are not accepting it. The item will be returned to us at no cost to you.

Contact Us Within 24 Hours

Whether you refused delivery or accepted with noted damage, contact us within 24 hours of the delivery attempt:

Claim Review (2–3 business days)

We review your photos and documentation and determine the appropriate resolution: full replacement, partial credit, or full refund — depending on the nature and extent of the damage.

Resolution

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. Replacements are dispatched as soon as stock allows, typically within 3–5 business days.

What Qualifies for a Damage Claim?

Eligible for Replacement or Refund

  • Cracked or broken countertop (shipping damage)
  • Cracked, broken, or shattered mirror
  • Structural damage to the cabinet (broken frame, crushed side panels)
  • Broken or cracked undermount sink basin
  • Missing hardware that was listed as included
  • Any damage that occurred during transit and is visually evident at delivery

Not Eligible

  • Change of mind or incorrect size ordered
  • Colour looks different in person than on screen
  • Minor surface scratches on painted finishes (within normal manufacturing variance)
  • Damage caused during or after customer installation
  • Damage reported more than 24 hours after delivery
  • Incompatibility with existing plumbing (measure before ordering)

Order Cancellation

Need to cancel? Contact us as soon as possible. Orders that have not yet shipped can be cancelled for a full refund. Once an order has shipped or been picked up, the final sale policy applies.
